WELCOME
(Leader/People)
Seekers and believers, people of faith,
and people of no faith at all,
no matter who you are,
no matter where you are on life’s journey…
You are welcome here.
OPENING PRAYER
*CALL TO WORSHIP
When grief is heavy and despair draws near,
We long for a future with hope.
When the stone is rolled away
and light breaks through,
We dare to imagine a future with hope.
When resurrection is not only possible, but true,
We commit all we have to
building a future with hope.
Come, let us worship God,
Who leads us into a future with hope.
*GATHERING HYMN
Jesus Calls us o’er the Tumult
NCH (black) #172, vs. 1, 3, 5
Jesus calls us o'er the tumult
of our life's wild, restless sea;
day by day that voice still calls us,
saying, "Christian, follow me."
Jesus calls us from the worship
of the treasure we adore,
from each idol that would keep us,
saying, "Christians, love me more."
Jesus calls us! By your mercies,
Savior, may we hear your call.
Give our hearts to your obedience,
Serve and love you best of all.

*CLOSING HYMN
Now the Green Blade Rises
NCH (black) #238, vs.1, 2, 3
Now the green blade riseth,
from the buried grain,
Wheat that in dark earth
many days has lain;
Love lives again,
that with the dead has been:
Love is come again
like wheat that rises green.
In the grave they laid their love,
whom hate had slain,
Thinking that their love
would never wake again,
Laid in the earth like grain
that sleeps unseen:
Love is come again
like wheat that rises green.
Christ came forth at Easter,
like the risen grain,
Jesus who for three days
in the grave had lain;
Quick from the dead
the risen One is seen:
Love is come again
like wheat that rises green.
